Over the years, we have had the pleasure of working with many students and schools from the Gulf States and Europe so we are familiar with the specific requirements. If requested in advance any special medical or dietary requirement can be accommodated for. Along with the booking form there will be a medical and dietary form, this MUST be filled and sent back well in advance of the scheduled trip.

Checklist of things to bring:

Appropriate clothing for the season that you intend to visit!

  • Cyprus is for the most part a hot country but during the spring and winter it can be quite chilly and rainy so please make sure you have at least one waterproof jacket just in case you are unlucky!
  • Conversely during the spring and summer it tends to be hot with temperatures usually above 30 degrees, so please bring plenty of cool clothing such as cotton t shirts and shirts and shorts or skirts.
  • Good walking shoes, a lot of our activities will involve walking in the wilderness and sometimes over uneven ground so comfortable shoes with a good sole is essential. It is also advised to wear them before the trip several times to avoid blistering.
  • Always bring a hat or some form of head protection from the sun, sunburn and sun stroke is a real possibility without one
  • Do not bring expensive new clothes as during our activities it is our intention to get you wet and dirty as often as possible!
  • If your activity for the week involves being in or around water, it is advised to bring some Rubber/Wellington Boots and a Towel!

Further protection from the sun

  • Without doubt one of the major hazards of a trip to Cyprus is too mush exposure to the sun, so it advised that students use at least factor 30 sunblock on sunny days and apply it often and liberally.
  • One of the most important things to counteract the heat of the sun is to bring lots of water. Pear is against the use of single use plastic bottles so ask that all students bring in a reusable water bottle.

Other equipment

  • Although we provide all the equipment required to successfully perform the activities, we do not provide the stationary. So please bring a notebook, pencil, ruler, rubber and pen as minimum.
  • Because most days you will be out in the field please ensure you have backpack to carry your stationary, extra clothing etc.
  • Finally, please bring a sandwich box for the pack up lunch you will receive at the start of each day.
