Pear is an Environmental Outdoor Education Teaching Service, who specialise in outdoor teaching methods in a fun, safe and relaxing environment, promoting enhanced learning capabilities in students of all ages. Our aim is to transfer our knowledge and passion in an exciting and brilliant way that will leave unforgettable memories whether you are a teacher, a student or a member of the public.
Although based in the Paphos region, Pear operates throughout the beautiful island of Cyprus, utilising the countries wide variety of habitats allows Pear to tailor each programme into a unique experience.
Although a new company, Lyndon has over 20 years’ experience of not only teaching but also managing and creating fieldwork studies designed to not only educate but stimulate young minds.

Working with over 20000 students from schools all over Europe and the Middle East, we have extensive experience of catering for the needs of all key stages and the changing demands of IB, Edexcel, AQA or CIE.
Having worked with over 80 international schools we are very familiar with and able to accommodate for any specific requirements regarding accommodation, dietary needs etc.
Our other area of expertise is working with families and special interest groups who just want to learn in a fun way.
Structured Lessons
Pear are very much committed to the ‘Cyprus Outdoor Education Experience’ and all courses are designed with this in mind.
Each day will follow a structured approach which will start with an introduction to the activity explaining the steps of the day including the health and safety aspects, this may vary depending on what programme is being followed.
A typical scientific enquiry day will start by establishing a theory, going the habitat to perform the experiment and finally an evaluation of results. Furthermore, all of the programmes have been designed for the appropriate curriculum including the skills and personal capabilities required for life-long learning.
Optional Learning Opportunities
Pear have many outdoor education activities available that can be used to enhance the overall trip experience such as Bat Watching, Snake Talks, Eco Hikes or if you’re feeling a little more adventurous why not try a day of rock climbing or kayaking with my friends, Zephyros Adventure Sports.
