Geography Course Structure
Designed specifically for IGCSE, AS, NEA and independent investigations. Catering for all the needs of ‘A’ level independent investigation including choosing the fieldwork environment, appropriate methodology and primary data collection.

Students investigate hard and soft coastal defences and examine the conflicts arising from coastal management and coastal erosion

Using a powerpoint presentation and discussion, students will learn about how to create a great geographical presentation from planning for the trip through to the limitations of sampling,data collection and presentation methods. Designed specifically for NEA and independent investigations.
River Study
A study of the physical characteristics of a river including velocity, depth, width and wetted perimeter. Students can also examine threats to it through pollution , abstraction etc
Human Studies
Urban Investigations
Students will be introduced to a variety of quantitative and qualitative fieldwork methods to produce land use classification maps of the town. Patterns will be investigated and discussed
Rural Rebranding
An investigation into how social, environmental and economic inequalities has forced many rural settlements into rebranding. The students will use various methods to assess the level of success or failure in these attempts
